🏆 How the ITSF World Ranking Works
1. Players earn ranking points by participating in ITSF-sanctioned tournaments.
Tournament categories include:
- World Series
- ITSF 750
- ITSF 500
- ITSF 250
Higher-level tournaments award more ranking points.
2. Only a player’s best seven (7) results count.
For each ranking category (Singles or Doubles), only the best 7 tournament results during the current season are included in the ranking calculation.
3. Ranking points depend on both tournament level and finishing position.
| Finish | World Series | ITSF 750 | ITSF 500 | ITSF 250 |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1st | 1000 | 750 | 500 | 250 |
| 2nd | 900 | 675 | 450 | 225 |
| 3rd | 800 | 600 | 400 | 200 |
| 4th | 700 | 525 | 350 | 175 |
| 5th–8th | 600 | 450 | 300 | 150 |
| 9th–16th | 500 | 375 | 250 | 125 |
| 17th–32nd | 400 | 300 | 200 | 100 |
| 33rd–64th | 300 | 225 | 150 | 75 |
| 65th–128th | 200 | 150 | 100 | 50 |
Additional positions continue to receive smaller point values.
4. Rankings are updated after every ITSF World Tour event.
- Rankings operate on a rolling 12-month period.
- Tournament results remain valid for 12 months before expiring.
- The ranking is recalculated after each ITSF World Tour tournament.Â
5. Total Points vs. Current Points
ITSF displays two point totals:
- Total Points – Points accumulated over the last 12 months (used for tournament seeding).
- Current Points – Points earned during the current calendar year’s ITSF Tour.Â
